Myths busted - Physical Activity
Exercise stops me developing breast milk ....…
THIS IS NOT TRUE! Several studies now show that exercise does not negatively effect a mother’s ability to successfully breastfeed her child. Exercise does not change the taste or amount of breast milk, nor does it affect your baby’s ability to attach. Drink water before, during, and after your activity session if you are breastfeeding to maintain good fluid intake.
Myths busted - Breastfeeding
You should not try to lose weight while you are breastfeeding ....…
THIS IS NOT TRUE! The growth of a breastfed infant is not affected by its mothers' weight loss of up to 0.5kg per week. What is important while breastfeeding is maintaining good fluid intake.
