New mum

Hello everyone, I'm a new mum and new to this cool site. I am a proud mum to a cheeky little 10 week old boy named Jarrah. Motherhood is certainly another one of life's challenges that I'm still getting use to. I'm 23 and have lived in Caboolture for 13yrs. Life has changed a lot since having bub. Like for one, pushing around a pram around a shop and thinking" can I fit around this corner?", food shopping and not too mention sleeping(sleep? what's that?). But it doesn't last forever 'til you have another one. From happy mum, Dawn.

LABOUR

Hi dawn its gail here how are you i have a nearly 3 yr old and 8 month old i was like you with my labour for the first bub scared and the nurses was rude because i was young i am 23 yrs old and felt very nervous during labour with my first the second bub was alot easier due to staff making me comfortable and was just much easier all round the first laabour was 24 hours and had stiches and 2nd was 6.5 hours being induced with no stiches which was great i think most of staff at caboolture hospital have picked up alot if you would like to chat more email me at ramatinkabell@hotmail.com

A bit more from me

Hi all people! My labour was a real pain. I know all women feel pain but I was feeling anxious before and during the labour and really wasn't altogether when bubs came out. I think the particular nurse I had didn't really help me feel comfortable when I really needed to. Although I am over it now, I do wonder how I'd cope with it if I went through it again. Has anyone else felt mentally or emotionally scarred? Thanks.

I'm a new mum too

Hi everyone, My name's Adrienne. I am also a new mum. I am 22 and I have a new 6 wk old daughter, Hannah and a step son Rhys who's 4. Being a mum's great. She's the best thing in the world to me. And she's just started sleeping through the night too! Growing up so fast though. I would like to meet up with some other new mums too for spare time. While everyone else is working. Seem to have a lot of time on my hands when I don't need it and no time on my hands when I do... Sound familiar? Also wouldn't mind hearing how everyone else coped with labor if anyone would like to share their story. Mine was traumatic! If anyone wants to hear mine. Hope to hear back from some of you soon.

I'm new too

Hello everyone, I'm a first time mum to a 12 week old little boy, I have lived in the caboolture area for the past 4 and a half years. Before i had my little boy i worked full time in the city, the only people i really know in the area is my neighbours as all my family and friends live 1000km away. I would love to meet other mums in the area, my husband works full time 6 days a week and the conversations i have during the day consist of goo goo gaa gaa. Thanks Trudy

Getting together....

Hi Trudy I have joined this site and saw your message. I am used to working full time, and have done since leaving college at 21 so being at home all day is a bit of change and a shock to the system. I don't miss work funnily enough but I do miss the company - I have always been in hospitality so really busy and social. My husband is a chef and works 5 days a week but leaves the house at 8am and gets home, on average, at 10-11pm so baby and dogs are my daily company. I am a first time mum to a 6 month old boy called Thomas who is just gorgeous but at 36 it has definitely been a very steep learning curve. I know you posted your message some time ago but if you are still looking for some company give me a shout on shursey@aapt.net.au Like you my family are a long way away ( all in the UK) but we are happy here and live in Narangba. I look forward to hearing from you if you have time to make a new friend. Sarah

Hello everyone i am a first time user at this site i thought i would come on and post a message to like minded people who understands what its like having childern i have a 2 and half yr old girl who is a little miss its just that age and also a 6 month old girl who has a milk intolerance hope to talk im a 23 yr old mum who has lived in caboolture for all her life

Hi there

Hi my names Adrienne. Good luck with the terrible 2s! But i'll say be thankful she's not a boy. Boys are tougher and more determined. I think if a little girl got in trouble she would cry and sook whereas boys are more inclined to stand their ground and argue the point. just my theory. though my little girls only 6 weeks old so I could be totally wrong. Gotta love em though. I was thinking how we could work this.. maybe if a few of us get together somewhere at a social place first up mabye Hippos? Though Hippos is no good for mums with only 1 little baby so I'm not sure. any suggestions?

Hi, I am mum to a 3 year old girl and a 2 week old son. Miss my sleep, have forgotten so many things about being mum to a new born.

Hi I am a mother of 5 children: Joshua 10, Nicola nearly 8, Matthew 5 1/2, Samuel 3 and Jessica 17 weeks. I am counting down the days till school goes back. I have been pulling my hair out with the constant fights. The rain has made it hard because the kids got swings and tramopline for chrissy and Nicola broke her arm 2 days into the school holidays. I was just wondering if anyone know when Soccer registration starts and how much it costs.
