Intro from newbie

Hi ladies Just a quick note to introduce myself as a new forum user, as well as a new member of Cab Mums & Little Ones. I am halfway through my first pregnancy and have lived in the Caboolture region for the past 18 years. I had no idea any of these facilities existed in the area and am keen to check as many as possible out, as well as to learn as much as I can along the way. Although I am working full time at the moment, I'll become a part-timer next month and am looking forward to being able to participate in events such as the Afternoon in the Park in the months to come. Cheers Kath

I am first time mum at 36 to a gorgeous 6 month old boy called Thomas. I have only ever worked full time and I miss the company very much. Mums and little ones have meetings regularly but if you have the time to make a new friend I would love to hear from you. My hubby is a chef and is out of the house from 8am - 10pm for 5 days a week but talking to the baby and my dogs can be a little one sided!! I live in Narangba. Intro from another Newbie

Hi there, Kath, and everyone else too. I'm a newbie to this website, too. I became a mum for the first time 8 mths ago and it's been the most incredible ride of my life. I still pinch myself that all of this is really happening to me. I'm 35 years old and had been working as a secretary in the Brisbane City for 17 years. I'm now a SAHM (stay-at-home-mum) and am enjoying it immensely. My partner works full-time in the city and would love to swap jobs with me any day! Ha ha ha. We moved to Caboolture from Brisbane about 18 months ago and are loving living out of the ratrace for the first time in our lives. It's great being so close to Bribie and the hinterland. My mum and my sisters and their families live up the Sunshine Coast so I'm closer to them, too. And it's been great having Mum handy now that I'm a mum! We had been trying to have a baby for about 4 years. We went through 3 miscarriages and months of unsuccessful trying, until finally it happened. And 4 months after our beautiful daughter was born, we find out we're pregnant again! This baby is due 4 days after her 1st birthday! Yikes! Gonna have my hands full. If it doesn't rain, it pours. I really enjoyed the Afternoon in the Park on Wednesday. It was great to see a lot of the Caboolture mums with their bubs, and I'm looking forward to future events and outings. Pauline
