CABOOLTURE mums & little ones is working with the community to provide opportunities for happy, healthy families. CABOOLTURE mums & little ones has been especially developed for women in Caboolture who are pregnant or have a little one under 12 months of age.

Being a part of CABOOLTURE mums & little ones is a great opportunity to find out about local events and services especially for mums and their families. It is FREE to join CABOOLTURE mums & little ones, and if you join you'll receive free information about classes, workshops, new products, local health services and other activities that have been designed specifically for women in Caboolture who are pregnant or have a little one under 12 months of age. We will send you the information and you can decide what you are interested in.

What are the benefits?
You will receive free information about local events and services especially for mums and families in Caboolture.
There is no cost to register.

Participating in CABOOLTURE mums & little ones involves no risk to you or your children, and you will receive regular summary reports so you can find out what's happening in Caboolture.

What is involved?
Your details will be included on a register to receive free information about local events and services for mums and families in Caboolture.

Confidentiality
Your identity and any personal details you provide will be kept strictly confidential and only available to CABOOLTURE mums & little ones staff. The information you give us will only be used to decribe how effective current services are for all women. Information about individuals will never be reported.

Voluntary participation
Participation in CABOOLTURE mums & little mums is entirely voluntary.
If you chose not to participate in CABOOLTURE mums & little ones, you will not incur any penalty or loss of any benefits. You can stop participating at any time without losing any of your rights to medical attention or other services provided to you.

Our commitment to you
CABOOLTURE mums & little ones has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the University of Queensland and the Redcliffe-Caboolture Health Service District Ethics Committee. You are free to discuss your participation at any time with the following staff: Clancy Wall, Coordinator, by phone on 0402 791 315 and Dr. Yvette Miller, Director, by phone on (07) 3346 7619. If you have any complaints about the conduct of the CABOOLTURE mums & little ones and you would like to speak to someone not involved, you may contact The University of Queensland Ethics Officer by phone on (07) 3365 3924, or the District Manager, Redcliffe-Caboolture Health Service by phone on (07) 3883 7523.

Local community taskforce

The CABOOLTURE mums & little ones Local Taskforce is made up of representatives from local, community-based organisations working in both government and non-government organisations (listed below).
The Local Taskforce meets once a month and works closely with the Advisory and Evaluation Team (described below).
The primary role of the Local Taskforce is to work with the community, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure that CABOOLTURE mums & little ones programs, resources and services are well delivered and are meeting the needs of women in Caboolture.

Advisory and evaluation team

Overseeing CABOOLTURE mums & little ones is an inter-sectoral Advisory and Evaluation Team. Members of this team (listed below) bring a wealth of experience and expertise in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion strategies to improve nutrition and physical activity and improve the health of women and children.
The CABOOLTURE mums & little ones Advisory and Evaluation Team meets regularly in Caboolture, and works closely with the CABOOLTURE mums & little ones Local Taskforce.

About the CABOOLTURE mums & little ones website

This website was specifically developed for women in Caboolture who are pregnant or have a little one under 12 months of age. The aim of the website is to provide accurate information, opportunities, and support for women to have a healthy lifestyle, and a happy, healthy family.

CABOOLTURE mums & little ones is funded by Queensland Health, and is managed by The University of Queensland.

Website development

This website is dedicated to providing current and easy-to-understand information about recommended health behaviours during and after pregnancy. It was developed in April 2007 by members of the CABOOLTURE mums & little ones team, following extensive consultation with women living in Caboolture.

All information on the website is based on research published in scientific journals. The website has undergone substantial review by the CABOOLTURE mums & little ones Advisory and Evaluation Team to ensure that the information is accurate and up-to-date, and by community members to ensure that the website is easy to understand and use.
