More than 1800 women experience childbirth at the Caboolture Hospital every year. The maternity unit provides care for mothers and babies during antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal periods. Our aim is to make the birth of your baby a special and wonderful event for you and your family. We are committed to providing a variety of high-quality services. We want you to feel comfortable in a safe environment and we consider your needs and the needs of your baby and family, to be of paramount importance.

Caboolture Hospital- Maternity Services offers women

  • a choice of antenatal care options (Medical and Midwifery-led models of care)
  • an Antenatal Day Assessment Unit
  • a modern birthing unit and postnatal support, initially in hospital, with support and transition to home (Home midwifery service).
  • links to early childhood health services
  • education for childbirth, postnatal care and breastfeeding
  • support for breastfeeding for mothers in hospital and in the community
  • a Special Care Nursery for babies with higher needs. Caboolture Hospital is closely linked to the tertiary hospitals and provides a transfer and support service for babies that need intensive care.

Caboolture Hospital also offers a range of other services to assist with issues in pregnancy, including mental health services, physiotherapy, drug and alcohol, social work and parent support.
